The Code
The Code is a real funny and interesting sports novel. It features Brad Shade a journeyman hockey player, now a scout/P.I. It doesn’t follow a traditional mystery format, as he continues with scouting and the mystery hangs around peripherally. Shade is a sardonic but likable character and it’s fun to watch him piece together the answers.
